Aldora Aluminum and Glass Products Signs Letter of Intent to Acquire Lenoir Mirror Company
Family-led Aldora plans $2.0 million investment in 113-year-old North Carolina mirror manufacturer
CORAL SPRINGS, FL. and LENOIR, NC. — Tuesday, August 18, 2026 — Aldora Aluminum and Glass Products; a leading manufacturer of architectural glass and aluminum systems serving the eastern United States, announced today it has signed a letter of intent to acquire Lenoir Mirror Company, a manufacturer of silvered and fabricated mirror products based in Lenoir, North Carolina. The transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2026, subject to completion of due diligence and customary closing conditions.
Founded in 1913, Lenoir Mirror has manufactured mirror in Caldwell County for more than a century, earning a reputation for exceptional quality and serving furniture, construction, and glazing customers across the central and eastern United States. Aldora intends to retain the Lenoir workforce, operate the plant as its dedicated mirror manufacturing platform, and invest approximately $2.0 million over the next 18 months to modernize the silvering line, upgrade fabrication and handling equipment, and expand capacity.
Central to Aldora’s plans is preserving the quality for which Lenoir is known. The investment will provide Lenoir’s experienced team with enhanced equipment and capabilities while maintaining the standards that Aldora believes produce the finest mirror in the industry.
“Lenoir is a rare company — 113 years of history, an exceptional team, and, in our view, the best mirror in the business,” said Leon Silverstein, Chief Executive Officer of Aldora. “We are grateful to A.G. Jonas and his family for entrusting Aldora with the responsibility of carrying the Lenoir legacy forward, and we have tremendous respect for Darrell Wilson and his many years of leadership as President and CEO. Together, they and the Lenoir team have built something special. Our responsibility is to protect what makes Lenoir great while investing in its people, equipment, and future. They make the best mirror in the business, and we intend to keep it that way.”
Like Lenoir, Aldora is privately held and family-led. Silverstein represents the fifth generation of his family in the glass business. The combination keeps both companies in the hands of industry operators focused on investment, growth, and preserving the businesses for future generations.
For customers, the combination will provide a secure, domestically produced supply of high-quality mirror with expanded capacity and shorter lead times. Lenoir Mirror products will be available through Aldora’s eight manufacturing and distribution locations across the eastern United States, while Lenoir’s existing customers will continue to be served from the Lenoir plant.
“For 113 years this company has taken care of its people and its customers, and finding a partner who would carry that forward mattered more to us than anything,” said Darrell Wilson, President and Chief Executive Officer of Lenoir Mirror Company. “We had choices, and we chose the Silverstein family. Aldora is privately held, run by people who have spent their lives in this industry, and committed to investing in Lenoir and its future. This is the right home for our company and a strong outcome for our employees and community.”
The transaction remains subject to due diligence and customary closing conditions. Terms were not disclosed.
